Abstract (2. Language):
In this paper, importance of feed fiber (hemicellulose, cellulose and lignin) determining for the ruminants were explained. Crude fiber (CF) was the oldest procedure to determine feed fiber, however there were a number of problems with this procedure. Detergent fiber sytem were developed by Van Soest and replaced the CF procedure for feed fiber analyses. In this system, neutral detergent fiber (NDF) and acid detergent fiber (ADF) analyses were used to differentiate feed fiber compenents. Some prequations shold be taken to get better results for ADF and NDF procedures. These prequations were summarized in this paper.
