In this article, trigeminal neuralgia characterized with severe paroxysmal pain in the orofacial region has been reported. Theories about etiologicalfactors and classical signs have been explained. The curing methods of,medical treatment, nerve block, and surgical treatment have been discussed comparatively.

Bu makalede orofasial bölgede şiddeÜİ ve ani ağrı krizleri ile kendini gösteren trigeminal nevralji anlatıldı. Et-yoldjist ile ilgili teoriler, klasik belirtiler açıklandı. Tanısı ve tedavisi konusunda üzerinde durulması gereken noktalar belirtilerek, son yıllarda kullanılan tedavi yöntemleri anlatıldı, tlaç tedavisi, sinir blokajı, cerrahi tedavi yöntemleri kıyaslanarak tartışıldı.
