Abstract (2. Language):
The growth of business enterprises
certainiy brings some advantages to the
entreprenems and managers, the most
important of which can be cited as
savings on management expenditures,
iucreased profit and power. It must
not be forgotten however, tbat there
are some limits to the growth of
enterprises, such as dimiın'shing returns
on the management function, difficulty
in providing factors of production and
İncrease İn the prices of these factors.
How much an enterprise can grow is
determined by the knowledge, ability
and energy of the top manager. Thus,
it can be concluded that the most
important limit on the size of the
enterprise is the managerİal function.
Growtb reqııires creation of new jobs
and employment of new personnel,
whİch in tura, increase the problems
faced by management by exponentİally
încreasing the managerİal relationships.
It is possible to take some measures
in order to eliminate the managerİal
limits on the growth of enterprises.
These measures can be categorİzed
accordİng to phases of growth, as
delegation of authority, employment of
assistant staff and specialists, relying
on group decisions (committee
management) and decentralized management.

İşletmelerin büyümeleri girişimci
ve yöneticiler için kuşkusuz bir takım
yararlar sağlamaktadır. Bu yararlardan
başlıcalannı, bazı yönetsel masraflardan
tasarruflar, daha fazla kâr sağlama ve
herseyden. önemlisi, büyüklüğün sağlaaığı
güç, yücelik ve erdemlilik olarak
belirtebiliriz- Ancak işletmelerin büyümesinde
bir takım sınırlamaların bulunabileceğini
de unutmamak gerekir.
Bu sınırlamaları, yönetim işlevinin azalan
verimi, yeterli üretim etmenlerini
tedarik etme güçlükleri ile bu etmenlerin
fiyatlarındaki artışlar olarak açıklayabiliriz.
İşletmenin ne kadar büyüyebileceğini
tepe yönetiminde bulunan
yöneticinin, bilgi, yetenek ve enerjisi
belirlemektedir. Diyebiliriz ki, işletmelerin
büyüklüğünü belirleyen en önemli
sınır yönetsel işlev olmaktadır. Çünkü
büyüme yeni iş ve personele ihtiyaç
gösterir, her yeni iş ve personel ise işletmede
yönetsel ilişkileri geometrik biçimde
artırarak yönetimin kısa sürede
güçleşmesine ve sorunların artmasına
neden olur. İşletmelerin büyümesine
ilişkin yönetsel sınırlamaların ortadan
kaldırılması için birtaknm Önlemler
alınabilmektedir. Bu önlemleri, büyümenin
evrelerine göre, yetki devri, kurmay
yardımcı ve uzman atama, grup
kararları (komite yönetimi) ile merkezkaç
yönetime gitme şeklinde açıklayabiliıiz.
