Keywords (Original Language):

Abstract (2. Language):
In this study, it was evaluated important performance characteristics of wood and wood based products, which are ignitability, heat release rate, flame spread index, smoke and toxic gases and, charring rate. Thermal degredations of cellulose, hemicellulose and, lignin which are individual components of wood were investigated. Moreover, it was evaluated effect of fire retardant chemicals on this performance characteristics and determined effects on wood and wood based products in service.
