DENDROKLİMATOLOJİK ANALİZLERDE TEPKİ FONKSİYONUNUN KULLANIMI

THE USAGE OF RESPONSE FUNCTION IN DENDROCLIMATOLOGICAL ANALYSES

Journal Name:

Publication Year:

Abstract (2. Language):
Dendroclimatology is a science which is used in finding out the relationships between tree-rings and climate and in reconstructing the past climate. Several methods have been developed to investigate the relationships between especially monthly temperatures and precipitation with tree-rings. The aim of this article is to explain the response function, which is preferred much more than other methods, and to help to dendroclimatologists in using the method. Response function is calculated in two stages which are principle component analysis and multiple regression, respectively. In this article, the response function is explained in detail.
