Multiple personality disorder, which is characterized by the presence of two or more distinct identities or personality states that recurrently take control of the person's behavior accompanied by an inability to recall personal information. This inability to recall personal information is too extensive to be explained by ordinaiy forgetfulness, is a kind of dissociative disorders. The disorder is rarely diagnosed in childhood. In this article, the related literature was briefly reviewed and all year-old case with three distinct personality states was discussed as a diagnosis example for multiple personality disorder.

Çoğul kişilik bozukluğu, sıradan bir unutma ile açıklanamaya-cak ölçüde kişisel bilgiyi hatırlayamamayla birlikte bireyin davranışını yineler bir şekilde kontrol altına alan iki ya da daha fazla kimlik veya kişilik yapısının söz konusu olduğu disosiyatif bîr bozukluktun Bu bozukluk çocukluk döneminde nadiren görülür. Bu yazıda, konu ile ilgili literatür kısaca gözden geçirilmiş ve üç ayrı kişilik yapısı gösteren 11 yaşındaki bir olgu, çoğul kişilik bozukluğu tanı örneği olarak tartışılmıştır
