Abstract (2. Language):
As it is widely known, ethnicity is one of the most debatable concepts. Ethnicity is indexed to cultural values above the biological arguments. Ethnicity can not be defined only by mothertounge or religion or art. An ethnic identity needs concrete and scientifical indicators that fully differs from the dominant culture. Ethnic identity enriches the national identity. So it is not competitive with the national identity or culture but it is complementary. Mostly micro racism hides itself by ethnic arguments.
Ethnic picture of Turkey does not justify multicultural scope. In the article it is stated that terrorism which is against every one can not be attributed to ethnic factors. The writer uses some figures taken from some researches. Those figures show that the problem is mostly economical rather than cultural rights.

Etniktik kolay tarifi yapılamayan ancak daha ziyade kültürel özelliklerle ilgili bir kavramdır. Bir başka ifadeyle genelde doğuştan sonra elde edilenler ve kazanılanları kapsadığından daha ziyade biyolojik menşe dışında aranır. Bundan dolayı etnik kimlik ile kültürel kimlik içiçedir ve biri diğerinin yerine kullanılabilir. Etniktik sosyal etkileşimin doğurduğu bir olgu olup, etniklikte biyolojik fark mutlak aranan bir faktör değildir. Etniklik kültürle bir başka ifadeyle yaşama tarzıyla ilgili olduğundan etnisite, kültürün herhangi bir unsu¬ruyla özdeşleştirilemez. Etniktik bundan dolayı sadece dil, din, örf ve adetler, ayrı bir edebiyat geleneği, sanat anlayışı ile tek tek ve kültür organik bütünün¬den ayrı değerlendirilemez.v
