Kil minerallerinin diyajenetik ve ortamsal nitelikleri değişkendir. Killi çökeller ile çökel kaya fasiyeslerinm ana diyajenetik faz diyagramları, tabii filloslikatların kimyasal verilerine dayanılarak kurulmak, tadır, Glokonit denizel ve daha çok sıf denizel kökenli gökeîier îgin yararlı bir ayırag olup gömülme diyajene^ zinden fazlaca etkilenmez, Klorit birincil mikaların ayrışma ürünü olarak gelişir, Diyajenezin ileri safhalarmda özellikle metamorfizmaya eri§tifi durumlarda illit .ye elif er kil minerallerini ornatır, Sîmektitler ise sedimantasyondan ileri diyajenez evresine kadar önemli mineralojik defişimlere uğrarlar, Klorİtin sedimanter kayalar içerisinde bulunuşu, bunun termal duraylılığından gok diğer fazların etkisinde olup ileri metamorfizma evresinde tümüyle yok olur. îllit degigik P=T şartları altında bir seri kimyasal reaksiyonlar ile oluşur.
