Abstract (2. Language):
This interdisciplinary study was carried out by document analysis technique Both Elementary Science and Social Studies Education Curricula were examined in terms of "history of science". Since both subjects have such subject, similar and related objectives are needed to be compared at part of inventions and inventors. This study therefore examines the objectives of both subjects from 4 through 7 grades with an interdisciplinary viewpoint. .The study suggests that the objectives about "history of science" of both subjects are not simultaneous in planning time. It is also identified that both objectives have inadequate content to support each other. As a result, the study points out important suggestions regarding the correct use of objectives in scope and sequence of curriculum planning of both subjects.

Doküman incelemesi tekniği ile gerçekleştirilmiş olan bu çalışmada, İlköğretim Fen ve Teknoloji ile Sosyal Bilgiler dersi programları, "bilim tarihi" açısından incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla söz konusu derslerin belirlenen konu bakımından ilişkili kazanımları, bilginler ve buluşları ile bu içeriğin programlardaki zamanlaması karşılaştırılmıştır. Disiplinlerarası anlayışa olabilecek katkıların da ele alındığı bu çalışma sonucunda, İlköğretim 4-7. sınıflar her iki dersin programlarında, birbiri ile eşgüdüm içinde olmayan "bilim tarihi" ile ilgili pek çok kazanımın var olduğu ve bunların birbirini yeterince desteklemediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Eğitimde disiplinlerarası anlayışın hızla yaygınlaştığı günümüzde, bu derslerin program ve kitaplarının, bilginin transferine destek olabilecek zamanlama ve içerikle donatılması önem taşımaktadır.
