This study analyses the relationship between the motivational climate set up by the renovation in the year 2006 of physical education (PE) programs in secondary schools and the students’ perceived achievement goals and attitudes relative to PE lessons within the same period. The research was performed amongst secondary school students, from classes 5, 6 and 7 (N=695). Data was provided through three local scales relative to validity and reliability. Inter-parental relationships were also reviewed. Research has revealed that the “motivation climate” affected children at different levels in PE lessons, at medium level for a “performance climate” and above medium level for a “learning climate” In consistence with this it was established that the “ego orientation” showed a medium level of perception while the “task orientation” reached an above-the-medium level. A statically significant negative connection was noted between the “performance” climate and the “task” orientation. Students’ personal behavior relative to PE was considered as running above medium level. These stated results witness the fact that students, in all conditions respond with interest to PE lessons and enjoy taking part. Important decrease in the “task orientation” in face of an increase in the performance climate is worth considering from the point of view of physical education.

Bu araştırmada 2006 yılında yenilenen ilköğretim (ilkokul-ortaokul) beden eğitimi (BE) dersi programları çerçevesinde gerçekleştirilen derslerin oluşturacağı motivasyonel iklim çevresi ile algılanan bu çevre içerisinde çocukların hedef yönelimleri ve derse ilişkin tutumları arasındaki ilişkiler incelendi. Araştırma ortaokul beşinci, altıncı ve yedinci sınıf öğrencileri (N=695) üzerinde yapıldı. Veriler, ülkemizde BE alanında geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışması yapılan üç adet ölçek kullanılarak elde edildi. İstatistiksel analizde veriler arasındaki ilişkiye bakıldı. Derslerin çocuklarda; orta düzeyde “performans eğilimli iklim” çevresi oluşturduğu, orta düzeyin üzerinde “öğrenme eğilimli iklim” çevresi oluşturduğu belirlendi. Bu iklim çevresinin orta düzeyde “ego yönelimi”ne, orta düzeyin üzerinde “görev yönelimi”ne neden olduğu saptandı. “performans eğilimli iklim” ile “görev yönelimi” arasındaki negatif ilişki istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bulundu. Öğrencilerin derse karşı tutumlarının orta düzeyin üzerinde olumlu olduğu görüldü. Bu sonuçlara göre, öğrencilerin BE dersine karşı her şartta olumlu tutum göstermeleri ve performans eğilimi azaldıkça görev yöneliminin anlamlı biçimde artması beden eğitiminin genel hedefleri açısından önemlidir.
