Abstract (2. Language):
Providing the justice in income distribution is one of the basic economic issues that concern every state. In this context, the relationship between financial development and income inequality has been discussed since 1990s. Different results are presented in empirical literature regarding the influence of financial development on income inequality. There are some studies associating these differences with the fact that the countries do not have the same financial structures. In this study, the financial structures of countries for 2000-2012 period were formed with the financial structure index suggested by Demirguc-Kunt and Levine. The financial structure index determined for 1990-1995 period was used as a base and these two periods were compared. According the obtained results, it is thought that healthier results can be obtained in terms of providing the justice in income distribution when an optimal financial structure is formed by considering the domestic dynamics along with an advanced legal system.
Abstract (Original Language):
Gelir dağılımında adaleti sağlamak her devletin ilgilendiği temel iktisadi meselelerin başında gelmektedir.
