study was carried out in 263 children aged between 0-14 years with urinary tract infection (UTI). The patients were evaluated in three groups: the first group aged 0-1 years (89patients), the second group; 1-6 years (106 patients) and the third group 6-14 years (68 patients). TJie most common symptoms were fever, vomiting and diarrhea in the first group, urinary frequency, dysuria and fever; in the second group, abdominal pain, dysuria and urinary frequency in the third group, Pyuria andbacteriuria were recorded higher in the second and the third groups compared to the first group. Tlie most common bacteria isolated in the urine cultures were Escherichia Coli and Proteus species in all cases. Several urinary tract abnormalities were determined on IVP being 29.0% in the first UTIpatinets and 26.3% in recurrent cases. On USG, these rates were 10.1% and 13.4% respectively. Vesicoureteral reflux was found in 12.1% in the first group and 12.1% in recurrent UTI patients.

Çalışma 0-14 yaş grubunda idrar yolu enfeksiyonu (İYE) tanısı konan 263 hastada yapıldı. Hastalar yaşlarına göre 1. grup: 0-1 yaş (89 hasta). 2. grup: 1-6yaş (106 hasta), 3. grup: 6-14 yaş (68 hasta) olmak üzere 3 gruba ayrıldı. En sık semptom 1. grupta; ateş, kusma ve ishal, 2. grupta;pollaküri, disüri, ateş, 3. grupta; karın ağrısı, disüri ve pollaküri idi. İdrar sedimentinde püyüri ve basilürigörülme oranı 2. ve 3. grupta 1. gruba göre yüksek bulundu. Kültürlerinde ilk idrar yolu enfeksiyonunda, rekiırren enfeksiyonlarda ve rölapsta en sık E. Coli (%66.2) ve proteus (%23.9) saptandı. Çekilen intravenöz pyolografılerde (IVP) ilk tanımlanan İYEda %29.0, rekiırren İYEda %26.3 değişik üri-ner sistem patolojileri saptandı. Ultrasonografide (USG) bu oran sırasıyla %10.1 ve %13.4 olarak tesbit edildi. Vesikoureteral refü (VUR) ilk İYEda %12.1, rekürren İYEda %23.1 olarak bulundu.
