In this study, 12 children's story books of Gulten Dayıoğlu, one of the prominent Turkish language user, were evaluated in terms of onomatopoeias and set phrases. The frequency of onomatopoeias and set phrases in the stories were determined. At the end of this study, the frequency data is given, and based on the resultant data, the contribution of onomatopoeias and set phrases on Turkish vocabulary regarding reading comprehension and writing skills were generally evaluated.

Bu çalışmada Türkiye Türkçesini iyi kullanan yazarlardan biri olan Gülten Dayıoğlu'nun çocuklar için yazmış olduğu 12 öykü kitabında bulunan 67 öykü, yansımalar ve kalıp sözler açısından incelenmiştir. Öykü metinlerinde geçen yansıma ve kalıp sözlerin kullanım sıklığı tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda, sıklıkla ilgili bulgular verilmiş ve bunlar doğrultusunda, yansıma ve kalıp sözlerin, anlama ve anlatma becerileri açısından Türkçe sözvarlığına katkıları genel bir değerlendirmeye tabi tutulmuştur.
