Hüsn ü Aşk is a mesnevi that built on process of seyr ü sülûk which lived Aşk. A significant part of the elements of this process takes place as the heroes of the story with allegoric way. Another part, even if be out of the such approach, has vital functions both in plot and background. As one of the these types of elements, “impotence” is one of the determinant factors that formative of fiction, by having a wide coverege especially on transition points of journey stages, on existence of Aşk and in the first section of the work.

Hüsn ü Aşk, Aşk’ın seyr ü sülûk süreci üzerine kurulmuş bir mesnevidir. Bu süreçte işlevi bulunan unsurların önemli bir kısmı alegorik bir biçimde, hikâyenin kahramanları olarak yer alır. Diğer bir kısmı ise bu tarz bir yaklaşımın dışında kalsa da gerek olay örgüsü içerisinde, gerekse arka planda hayatî işlevlere sahiptir. Bu tip unsurlardan biri olarak “acz”, hem başlangıç bölümünde hem de Aşk’ın varlığı üzerinde ve özellikle yolculuk aşamalarının geçiş noktalarında tuttuğu yer ile eserin kurgusunu şekillendiren belirleyici faktörlerden biridir.
