In this study, concepts of the image-symbol, being one of the most important factors to give a text a literary style in the literature especially in the poem was tried to be defined and how the image-symbol concepts that we described in Melih Cevdet Anday's poems are reflected was tried to be explained.

Bu çalışmada, edebiyatta özellikle de şiirde, metni edebi kılan önemli unsurlardan birisi olan imge-sembol kavramları tanımlanmaya çalışılmış, Melih Cevdet Anday'ın şiirlerinde tanımlamasını yaptığımız imge-sembol kavramlarının nasıl yansıtıldığı açıklanmak istenmiştir.
