DİNAMİK ABSORBERİN HARMONİK UYARIYA MARUZ BİR KİRİŞİN DİNAMİK DAVRANIŞINA ETKİSİ

The Effect of Dynamic Absorber on the Dynamic Behavior of a Beam Subject To a Harmonic Excitation

Abstract (2. Language):
Dynamic absorbers are one of the quite old, but significant topics of vibration theory. Adding appropriate dynamic absorber/s, a system in danger of resonance under external excitations can be brought into safe working conditions. In this paper, the dynamic behavior of a beam and rectilinear absorber system subject to a harmonic force excitation is concerned with. First, it is dealt with how to find the natural frequencies of the combined system by means of Galerkin’s method. Then, the variation of maximum amplitude of a chosen beam point with respect to the tuning parameter that is defined as the ratio of absorber frequency to beam fundamental frequency is studied whereas the position of absorber attachment point (absorber location) and the ratio of absorber mass to the beam mass (mass ratio) are considered as parameters. For both parameters, it is observed that maximum amplitude curves have local minima, which implies that these graphics can be used as a kind of design charts.
