Abstract (2. Language):
The basic purpose of the present study was to develop a Mood-State Adjective Pairs (MSAP) List and also investigate the psychometric properties of them. Adjective Pairs were created in a pilot study in which under graduate students participated. After the preparation of word pairs, the MSAP List was administered to a total of 560 universitiy students and 60 clinically depressed patients. Two different sets of analyses were used İn the study. First, in order to determine the construct validity of the MSAP List, a factor analysis was conducted by using principal component analysis with varimax rotation. The factor analysis showed three factors which accounted for 62.16 of the total variance. These factors were found to have satisfactory Cronbach's alphas. The second set of analyses were done to compare depression and non-clinical groups. To examine the group differences on each word pair in the MSAP List, t tests were used. The results of the comparisons indicated that in all the adjective pairs the depressed patients significantly differed from the non-clinical group. The findings revealed that the Mood State Adjective Pairs List which developed in this study had satisfactoiy psychometric values, indicating that the list can be reliably used in clinical and non-clinical groups, mood-slate studies, specifically in mood state selectivity and mood state dependent memory studies.
Abstract (Original Language):
DDSÇ Listesi'ni oluşturan her kelime çiftine ilişkin grup farklılıklarını incelemek için i test kullanılmıştır.
