Abstract (Original Language): 
Diyaliz tedavisinin temel amaçlan atık ürünlerin ve fazla suyun vücuttan uzaklaştırılmasıdır. Yeterlilik tanımı kinetik modelle yapılan ölçümlerle değerlendirmekle beraber, gerçekte hastanın sağkahmı ve yasam kalitesinin artmasını etkileyen durumları da İçerir. Yeterli diyaliz, hastanın volüm durumunun korunması, kan basıncının kontrolü, kalsiyum-fosfor dengesinin sağlanması, yeterli beslenmenin devamının sağlanması gibi hastanın yaşam koşullarını iyileştirecek çok sayıda faktörü de içerir (Tablo I). Yapılan matematiksel ölçümlerde sıklıkla üre gibi küçük molekül ağırlıklı maddelerin temizlenme oranı değerlendirilse de. iyi bir diyalizle pek çok istenmeyen etkileri olan orta molekül ağırlıklı üremik toksinler de uzaklaştırılmalıdır (1).
