In Papillon - Lefâvre syndrome, hyperkeratotic skin areas and periodontal tissue destruction in both primary -permanent dentition are seen. The periodontal destruction appears simultaneously with the appearance of palmar and plantar hyperkeratosis and eventually the teeth exfoliate spontaneously. This syndrome which is seen rare is inherited as an autosomal recessive trait. In this study, 5 cases of Papillon-Lefivre syndrome in a 6 year period are analized as clinically and radiographically.

Papillon - Lefevre sendromunda deride hiperkeratini-ze alanlar, süt ve sürekli diş dizilerinde periodontal doku yıkımı görülmektedir. El ayaları ve ayak tabanlarında hi-perkeratozisin ortaya çıkması ile periodontal doku yıkımı başlamakta ve dişler kendiliğinden düşmektedir. Seyrek olarak gözlenen bu sendrom otosomaî resesif olarak iletilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, 6 yıl içinde gözlenen 5 Papillon -Lefevre sendromu olgusu klinik ve radyolojik olarak incelenmiştir.
