Sistem Yaklaşımı ve Sağlık Alanında Sistem Dinamikleri Uygulamaları: Bibliyometrik Bir Analiz

System Approach and Applications of System Dynamics in Healthcare Field: A Bibliometric Analysis

Publication Year:

Abstract (2. Language):
Handling health field thoroughly shows important improvements with technological advances and computing complexity recently. Especially, the effect of decisions for policy-making on system requires handling this issue with dynamic viewpoint. For this reason, the aim of this study is analyzing how system dynamics studies in health field show a trend. This mentioned trend is analyzed in accordance with countries and authors. In this study, current system dynamics literature is reviewed qualitatively and quantitative trend is analyzed by downloading 964 publications which are searched in PUBMED database by using “system dynamics” query. Bibliometric analysis is performed in VantagePoint, Social Network Analysis is performed in UCINET and at last visualizations are conducted by using VosViewer software. Finally, it was seen that system dynamics studies have been increased markedly after 2000s and studies conducted by developed countries particularly. When this trend is analyzed in the view of collaborations, it is reached that the USA, the UK, and Germany in the center of the collaboration map. Because the USA health system is different from Turkey’s, it has been proposed that research collaborations should be made with European countries such as Germany and the UK by researchers in Turkey. Moreover, when the research fields of authors in the collaboration map are analyzed, on which sub-fields potential collaboration may be performed is demonstrated.
