Abstract (2. Language):
Story in the tradition of the Turkish "Haldun Taner," has a different place. Irony of the short story writer who successfully guided the structure of narratives of every kind of fictions. In general more effective in shaping the rhetoric of a text reveals the irony. We encounter the discourses of philosophy, as well as the fine. One of the interesting issues is time. Stories in all its forms is located in the concepts of time and memory. They are deep in the text, which is a function ofa the constructions. Standing as the dominant theme of this study is to evaluate the two stories, memory and time preferences.

Türk öykü geleneğinde “Haldun Taner” farklı bir yere sahiptir. Kısa öykünün her tür yapısını başarıyla kullanan yazar ironinin rehberliğinde anlatılarını kurgular. Söylemini ironiyle şekillendirmesi genel anlamda daha etkili bir metin ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Bunun yanında felsefeye dair ince söylemlerine de rastlarız. İlgi çeken konularından bir tanesi zamandır. Zaman ve bellek kavramları tüm biçimleriyle öykülerde yer alır. Bunlar metin içerisinde derin bir fonksiyonu olan yapılanmalardır. Bu çalışmada tematik olarak baskın duran iki öyküde zaman ve bellek tercihleri incelenmeye çalışılmıştır.
