It is aimed via this research that bullying which students are exposed to and its effects on students’ motivation level. In the research, students who receive education at primary schools in Turkey and are exposed to bullying had been determined and interviewed with them. One of qualitative research method “phenomenology method”, which is suitable for research’s nature, had been used. In the research, in point of structure “standardized open-ended interview”, in data analysis a kind of content analysis “categorical analysis” had been used. According to analyze results, it is found that bullying affects students’ motivation and academic achievement level in a negative way, students are exposed to oral and physical bullying at maximum, sexual bullying at minimum, the bulling mostly accrue inside the school. These are important findings that bulling causes the victim to think to change her/his school and even if just a bit to cause suicidal thinking. At the end of the research brought forward some proposals such as: it must be made bullying tests at particular times, regularly arranged family education seminars by guidance counsellors about the subjects such as the impression and results of bullying, how can be coped with bullying, arranged courses about conflict resolution strategies, intervention education, social skill education and behaviour control for students, teachers and families by school administration.

Bu çalışma ile öğrencilerin maruz kaldığı zorbalık ve zorbalığın güdülenme düzeyine etkilerinin araştırılması amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırmada, ilköğretim okullarında öğrenim gören ve zorbalığa maruz kalan öğrenciler belirlenmiş ve bu öğrencilerle mülâkat yapılmıştır. Nitel araştırma desenlerinden araştırmanın doğasına uygun olan olgubilim deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada yapı bakımından standartlaştırılmış açık uçlu mülâkat; verilerin çözümlenmesinde içerik analizi türlerinden kategorisel analiz kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre zorbalığın öğrencilerin güdülenme düzeyini ve akademik başarılarını olumsuz etkilediği, öğrencilerin en fazla sözel ve fiziksel zorbalığa, en az cinsel zorbalığa maruz kaldığı, zorbalığın çoğunlukla okul içinde gerçekleştiği bulgulanmıştır. Zorbalığın ayrıca mağdurun okulunu değiştirmek istemesine ve az da olsa intiharı düşündürmesine yol açması önemli bulgulardandır. Araştırma sonunda okullarda, belirli zaman dilimlerinde zorbalık ölçeklerinin kullanılması; rehber öğretmenlerin, zorbalığın belirtilerinin ve sonuçlarının neler olduğu, zorbalıkla nasıl başa çıkılacağı gibi konularda düzenli olarak aile eğitim seminerleri düzenlemesi; okul yönetiminin, öğrenciler, öğretmenler ve aileler için çatışma çözme stratejileri, arabuluculuk eğitimi, sosyal beceri eğitimi ve davranış kontrolü konularında eğitim düzenlemesi gibi bir takım öneriler getirilmiştir.
