Publication Year:

Abstract (2. Language):
This study was carried out on the lateral cep-halometric head films of 19 girls and 15 boys with Angle class I and class II malocclusion and of 11 girts and 9 boys with normal occlusion. The age ranges of both study and control groups were between 11 and 15 years old. The cephalometric head films were taken before and just after the orthodontic treatment from the study group, fn control group, the films were taken before and after control period. Four angular and five linear measurements were made to determine the positional changes of the tower third molars. The changes were statistically compared by variance analysis. In conclusion, it *vas found that the linear measurements showed important changes whereas the angular measurements did not, and that the position of the lower third molars were affected by the orthodontic treatment.

Bu araştırma, angle sınıf I ;«• umf ii Ji$sel kapanış gösteren !9 kız ve 15 erkek çocuk ite hkjnr ortodontik tedavi görmemiş normtü kapanış gösteren 1! kız ve 9 erkek çocuğun xefulomctrik filmleri üzerinde yapıldı. Her iki grubun yaş aralıyı 11-15 yıl oLrnık seçildi.
