Abstract (2. Language):
The main problems of resin composites are polymerization shrinkage and mierolcakage. Recently, beta-quartz inserts have developed m order to eliminate these problems. In this study, sixteen extracted human mamillary molar teeth were used. Class V cavity preparation were placed on the mesial and distal surfaces of each tooth. The teeth were restored with beta-quartz insert, icrcmenlal and bulk insertion methods. Mesio-distal sections were obtained for each tooth and viewed for occlusal and gingival microlcakage. Data were analyzed wiLh the Mann-Whitney LJ and Kruskal Wallis for microlcakage. There was statistically significant diffirencc in microleakagc between occlusal and gingival portions of beta-quartz inserts according to Mann-Whittncy U test. However, there was statistically significant imcroleakage on the occlusal portions of groups according to Kruskal Wallis test.
