The purpose of this study was to develop 'Self Direct Learning Scale toward Science and Technology Course' for primary school student. Thus, data were gathered by a survey method. In order to develop this scale, draft items was developed through a literature survey, and presented to experts for evaluation. After alterations based on expert's suggestions, a pilot study with 12 primary students was held to revise the items. After the revision the scale was administered to a sample of 446 primary school students. In order to determine the validity, exploratory factor analysis was performed. As result of the analyzing data, 'The Self Direct Learning Scale toward Science and Technology Course' which had 25 items contained two factors and these factors explained %35.6 of total variance. The two factors were named as 'Planning Self Direct Learning in Science And Technology Course' and Confidence Toward Self Direct Learning in Science And Technology Course' (a=78). Moreover the overall internal reliability coefficient (Cronbach Alpha) of the scale was found as .86.

Bu çalışmanın amacı ilköğretim öğrencilerine yönelik 'Fen Ve Teknoloji Dersinde Kendi Kendine Öğrenme Beceri' ölçeğini geliştirmektir. Veriler betimsel araştırma yöntemi kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Bunun için, literatür taramasından hareketle taslak maddeler oluşturulmuş ve uzmanların değerlendirilmesine sunulmuştur. Uzmanların önerileri doğrultusunda yapılan değişikliklerden sonra, 12 ilköğretim öğrencisiyle bir pilot çalışma yapılmıştır. Yapılan değişikliklerden sonra ölçek, 446 ilköğretim öğrencisine uygulanmıştır. Ölçeğin geçerliğini belirlemek üzere açımlayıcı faktör analizi yapılmıştır. Çalışma neticesinde, 25 maddelik 'Fen ve Teknoloji dersine Yönelik Kendi Kendine Öğrenme Becerileri Ölçeği'nin iki faktörlü bir yapı sergilediği ve bu faktörlerin toplam varyansın %35.5'sını karşıladığı bulunmuştur. Ölçeğe ilişkin iki faktörlerden ilki 'Kendi Kendine Öğrenmeyi Planlama'(a=91), diğeri ise 'Kendi Kendine Öğrenmeye Yönelik Güven' (a=78)'dir. Ayrıca, ölçeğin tümüne ilişkin güvenirlik katsayısı (Cronbach Alpha) .86'dır.
