Abstract (2. Language):
The purpose of this study is to determine factors that play role in the process of diffusion, acceptance or adoption of innovations in educational context at framework of relevant diffusion, acceptance and adoption theories and models. Accordingly, being predicated on five models and theories, namely, "Diffusion of Innovation Theory", "Theory of Reasoned Action", "Theory of Planned Behavior", "Technology Acceptance Model" and "Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology", articles which were searched in the ISI Web of Knowledge" in the last five years and being studied at the framework of diffusion, adoption and acceptance of innovations in educational context, were examined. 35 articles that are accessed as a result of literature search were examined by content analysis method. Content analysis was executed according to five criteria; 1) models or theories of studies, 2) innovation, examined in studies, 3) study groups, 4) data analyzing methods and 5) factors that are examined in the process of diffusion, adoption or acceptance process. As a result of content analysis, Technology Acceptance Model was found as being the main model, commonly handled model in studies. Information and communication technologies were revealed out as the most common investigated innovation. As being most of them pre-services teachers, study groups were composed of generally students and data were most commonly analyzed by structural equation modeling. In terms of factors, findings showed that, usefulness, ease of use, social influence and facilitating conditions are the four important factors that play important role in educational context of diffusion and acceptance process. In addition, usefulness has been found as the factor which has mostly the strongest effect on use of innovation, attitude toward innovation or intention to use.
