Abstract (2. Language):
It is necessary to properly compile content of course books, which play an
important role in ensuring effective maintenance of every curriculum. Course
books granted to students since 2003–2004 instruction years constitute the first
resource that both teachers and students apply.
For this purpose, present study has been carried out to review science and
technology course books used by 6th grade of primary education from point of
views of teachers, prospective teachers and primary school students. Views
regarding the course books were reviewed by sub-headings such as “Selection
and Compiling Content”, “Learning and Teaching Processes”, “Assessment”
and “Scientific Content”. As a result of analyzing participants’ views, it is seen
that science and technology course books used by 6th grade of primary
education generally comply with determined criteria.

Öğretim programlarının etkili bir biçimde devamının sağlanmasında önemli bir
yere sahip olan ders kitaplarının iyi bir biçimde organize edilmesi gereklidir.
2003-2004 öğretim yılından itibaren ücretsiz olarak dağıtımı yapılan ders
kitapları, öğretmen ve öğrencilerin ilk başvuru kaynağı olarak yer almaktadır.
Bu amaçla araştırmada, uygulamadaki ilköğretim 6.sınıf fen ve teknoloji ders
kitaplarının genel olarak değerlendirilmesi; öğretmen, öğretmen adayları ve
ilköğretim öğrencileri bakımından yapılmıştır. Ders kitapları hakkındaki
görüşler “İçerik Seçimi ve Düzenlenmesi”, “Öğrenme ve Öğretme Süreçleri”,
“Değerlendirme”, “Bilimsel İçerik” alt başlıkları altında incelenmiştir.
Araştırmaya katılan kişilerin görüşleri incelendiğinde, genel olarak ilköğretim
6.sınıf fen ve teknoloji ders kitaplarının belirlenen kriterleri sağladığı
görülmektedir.
