A Name from al-Asmā Al-Husnā, “al-Mu’min”: Its Place in the Religious Education and a Sample for Teaching It

Abstract (2. Language):
The study is considered with both the common meaning of the “al-Mu’min”
and also, its secondary meaning as well as its value. In parallel to this consideration,
the study is consisted of two dimensions. At the first dimension, the concept of mümin
and its historical background are discussed. While dealing with the historical
backgorund of the concept “al-Mu’min”, related verses of the Koran and the sayings of
the Prophet Mohammad are used as basis of the discussion, focussing on the
contextual meanings of the concept. At the second dimension, the use of the concept “al-Mumin” in the process of teaching-learning towards students of basic education is
exemplified through sample educational activities within a course outline.

Bu makalenin hedefi, “Mü’min” isminin sahip olduğu anlamın yanı sıra, bu
anlamın sahip olduğu değeri ortaya koymaktır. Bu çerçevede, makale iki boyuttan
oluşmaktadır. Birinci boyutta, din eğitimi derslerinde kavram öğretimine bir örnek
teşkil edeceği düşünülen “Mümin” kavramının tarihsel arka planı ortaya konulmaya
çalışılmıştır. Tarihsel arka planda, kavramın ayet ve hadis referansları ele alınmış ve
bu ayet ve hadislerin kullanıldığı bağlamlara göre ne ifade ettikleri üzerinde
durulmuştur. İkinci boyutta ise, tarihsel arka planı verilen kavramın, eğitim ortamına
aktarılması çerçevesinde ilköğretim çağındaki bireylere yönelik olarak, bir ders
işlenişinde kullanılabilecek örnek etkinliklere yer verilmiştir
