Traditional mathematics and science instruction address the comment of mathematical and science concepts and subjects only implicitly. Hence, students have no sense to found relationship between concepts that will prop up mathematical and science activities. Furthermore, students have not been able to appreciate the usefulness and importance of mathematics and sciences activities. Teaching with projects create an active mathematics and science classrooms in which students have both thinking and recreation while learning. In this article it was explained the types and advantages of using projects in mathematics and science teaching. In addition to, project evaluation criterions was showed that planning, implementing and evaluation of results.

Geleneksel fen ve matematik öğretimi, matematik ve fen kavramlarının ve konularının öğretimi hakkında açıklayıcıbilgiler vermemektedirler. Bu nedenle, öğrenciler matematik ve fen aktivitelerini destekleyecek kavramlar arasındaki ilişkileri görebilme mantığına sahip olamamaktadırlar. Ayrıca, öğrenciler matematik ve fen aktivitelerinin önemini ve kullanışlılığınıdeğerlendirebilme becerisinden de yoksun olmaktadırlar. Projelerle öğretim ise matematik ve fen sınıflarındaki öğrencileri öğrenirken eğlendirdiği kadar düşündürmeye de yönlendirmektedir. Bu makalede, fen ve matematik öğretiminde projelerin avantajlarıve çeşitleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Buna ek olarak, projelerin planlanması, uygulanmasıve sonuçlarının değerlendirilmesine yönelik bir proje değerlendirme kriteri de verilmiştir.
