Abstract (2. Language): 
Purpose of this study is to develop a sample program based on new curriculum development approach and to determine its effect on student achievement. An experimental model with a pretest – posttest control group was used with 46 subjects who study at Metal Teaching Training Program at Gazi University Faculty of Technical Education. Students were randomly selected for control and experimental groups. Designed syllabus (DS) practiced with the experimental group and current syllabus (CS) with the control group was applied for 4 weeks. The obtained findings indicate that the designed course program (DS) has been more effective on student achievement than current program (CS)

Bu araştırmanın amacıyeni program geliştirme anlayışına dayalıolarak örnek bir program geliştirmek ve öğrenci başarısıüzerindeki etkisini belirlemektir. Öntest-sontest kontrol gruplu deneysel modelin kullanıldığıaraştırmada, G.Ü.T.E.F. Metal öğretmenlik programına kayıtlıtoplam 46 öğrenci denek olarak kullanılmıştır. Öğrenciler deney ve kontrol gruplarına tesadüfi olarak atanmıştır. Deney grubunda tasarlanan ders programı(TDP), kontrol grubunda ise mevcut program (MP) 4 hafta boyunca uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre TDP mevcut programa göre öğrenci başarısıüzerinde daha etkili olmuştur.
