Abstract (2. Language):
In this study, the problems that Technical Education Faculties (TEF) face and the
solutions to these problems have been discussed. Observing the process of the historical
development of the TEFs, the present situation has been presented in respect of
objectives, curricula and the organisations. The causes of the unemployment problems
of the graduates, due to the increasing number of the TEFs, have been scrutinized and
as a solution to this problem, a necessity of reorganisation in the TEFs has been
revealed. In this frame of reorganisation,the problems and the solutions have been
taken into consideration, starting with the name of the faculty and the title given to its
graduates, goals, curricula, foundation places, the pedagogical formation lessons and
their international accreditation. In this context, similar models in the developed
countries have been examined and the best model fitting the conditions of our country
has been tried to be determined. Some suggestions on the subject have been made.

Bu çalışmada, Teknik Eğitim Fakültelerinin (TEF) son yıllarda karşıkarşıya bulunduğu
sorunlar ve çözüm önerileri tartışılmıştır. Bunun için, TEF’in tarihi gelişim süreci
incelenerek; amaç, program, ve organizasyon bakımından mevcut durum ortaya
konulmuştur. Son yıllarda, TEF sayısının artışıile daha da belirgin hale gelen
mezunların istihdam edilememesi sorununun, hangi nedenlerden kaynaklandığı
irdelenmişve sorunun çözümü için yeniden yapılanmanın gerekliliği ortaya
konulmuştur. Yeniden yapılanma çerçevesinde, başta fakültenin ismi ve mezunlarına
verilen unvan olmak üzere, amaç, programlar, kuruluşyerleri, pedagojik formasyon
dersleri ile uluslararasıdenklik konularında mevcut sorunlar ve çözüm önerileri
üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu çerçevede, gelişmişülkelerdeki benzer modeller incelenerek
ülkemiz koşullarına en uygun modelin saptanmasına çalışılmıştır. Çalışma, son olarak
bu konudaki bazıönerilerle tamamlanmıştır.
