The purpose of this study is to assess physical and physiological profiles of Turkish National Male Cyclists and to compare them with other nations' cyclists. A total of 7 male national cyclists were voluntarily participated into this study. Physical and physiological profiles of subjects were assessed by using standardised field and laboratory tests. Analysis of data were done by using mean and standard deviation. While age (24±4.24), height (178.57+3.59), weight (71.57±4.15), anaerobic power (102.09+6.77), flexibility (27.14+9.19), resting bloodpres-sure(93.71±10.57; 66.71+7.67) and heart rate (54.85±6.41), somatotype (2.07+0.34; 5.71±1.11; 2.78±0.80), lung volumes (VC 5.80±0.30; FVC 5.71 ±0.31), blood parameters (Hg 15.57±1.01; Hct 45.9±2.48 ; Ftbc 5.09±0.37) and reaction time of subjects were found similar with related literature, somewhat higher strength (111.21 ±27.86) and somewhat lower percent body fat (7.51±1.25) and aerobic power (54.57±7.14) values are noticable.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türk Milli Bisikletçilerinin sezon öncesi fiziksel ve fizyolojik profillerinin belirlenmesi ve diğer ülkelerin sporcuları ile kar-şılaştırılmasıdır. Çalışmaya Türk Milli takımını oluşturan 7 erkek bisikletçi gönüllü olarak katıldılar. Deneklerin fiziksel ve fizyolojik özellikleri standardize edilmiş olan laboratuar testleri ile belirlendi. Verilerin analizlerinde aritmetik ortalama ve standart sapma kullanıldı. Deneklerin yaş (24±4.24), boy (178.57±3.59), ağırlık (71.57±4.15), anaerobik güç (102.09±6.77), esneklik (27.14+9.19), kan basıncı (93.71±10.57; 66.71±7.67), istirahat kalp atım sayısı (54.85+6.41), somatotip (2.07±0.34; 5.71±1.11; 2.78±0.80), solunum kapasiteleri (VC 5.80±0.30; FVC 5.71±0.31), kan parametreleri (Hg 15.57±1.01; Hct 45.9±2.48; Rbc 5.09±0.37) ve reaksiyon zamanlarının ilgili literatür ile benzerlik içerisinde olduğunun belirlenmesine karşın, vücut yağ yüzdelerinin (7.51 ±1.25) ve aerobik kapasitelerinin (54.57±7.14) düşüklüğü, bacak kuvvetlerinin (111.21+27.86) ise yüksekliği dikkat çekicidir.
