Different kinds of benign tumors rarely occur in the lung and tracheobronchial tree. We operated 40 patients with benign lung tumors in the Clinic of Thoracic Surgery, Atatürk Chest Diseases and Thoracic Surgery Center between 1989 and 1994. There were 31 hamartomas, 3 inflammatory pseudotumors, 2 leiomyomas, 2 sclerosing hemangiomas, 1 teratoma and 1 lipoma. Surgical removal of the tumor by preserving as much lung parenchyma as possible is often necessary for definitive diagnosis. [Journal of Turgut Özal Medical Center 1996;3(4):336-340]

Akciğer ve trakeobronşial ağacın benign tümörleri çeşitlidir fakat nadir görülürler. 1989 ile 1994 yılları arasında, Atatürk Göğüs Hastalıkları ve Göğüs Cerrahisi Merkezi, Göğüs Cerrahisi Kliniği 'nde, 40 benign akciğer tümörlü olgu öpere edildi. Bunlardan 31 'i hamartom, 3'ü inflamatuar psödotümör, 2'si leiomyom, 2'si sklerozun hemanjiom, 1 'i teratom 1 'i de lipom idi. Tümörün akciğer parankimini mümkün olduğu kadar koruyarak yapılacak eksizyonu kesin tanı için sıklıkla gereklidir. [Turgut Özal Tıp Merkezi Dergisi 1996;3(4):336-340]
