Paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobınurıa clones ın pattenfs wıth myelodysplastıc syndromes. Among acquired stem celi disorders, pathological links bctween myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and aplastic anaemia (AA), and paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria (PNH) and AA, have been often deseribed, whcreas the relationship belween MDS and PNH is stili uncle-ar. We performed flow eytomefric study to deteet any defect of CD55 or CD59 antigens on pe-ripheral leukocytes in 20 MDS patients, We found 9.1% ±6.2% of Üıe granulocytes were de-feetive for CD59 in six of fhe 20 patients. We dİdn't observe reticulocytosis or elevation of LDH nonc of the PNH elone positive MDS patients. Ham' s test was also found to be negative in this group. Edinscl kök hücre hastalıkları olan aplastİk anemi (AA), paroksismal noktümal hemoglobinim (PNH) ve miyelodisplastik scndrom (MDS) arasında patolojik bir ilişki olduğunu ortaya koyan çeşitli çalışmalar bildirilmektedir. Ancak MDS ve PNH arasındaki ilişki tam olarak ortaya konulamamıştır. Bu çalışmada MDS tanısıyla takip edİicn 20 olguda, akım sİtomem'si kullanılarak, çevre kanı lökositlerinde CD55 ve CD59 defektİ araştırıldı. Olguların altısında özellikle granülositlcrde CD59 için ortalama %9. I±6.2 oranında defekt saptandı. PNH klonu saptadığımız olgularımızda retikülositoz ve LDH yüksekliği gözlenmedi. Bu hastaların Ham testi de negatif bulundu. Bu çalışmayı MDS ve PNH nin birbiriyle ilişkili olduğunu düşündürmesi nedeniyle bildirmeyi uygun bulduk.
