Abstract (2. Language):
This study was conducted to determine the factors causing relapse following deep-bite treatment. The study group for individuals comprised of 24 female, 10 male subjects 0/ whom 19 were rendered extraction and 15 non-extraction orthodontic treatment. The longitudinal research was carried out on lateral cepalograms of subjects which were taken prior to and subsequent to orthodontic treatment. It was concluded that the correction of deepbite was attained solely in the dentoaveolar level and the position of lower incisor was crucial in this process. The result of the study pointed out the key role of lower incisor position in the retention of deep-bite.
Abstract (Original Language):
Deep-bite olgularının geri dönmesinden sorumlu olan etkenlerin araştırılması çalışmamızın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmamızın 19'u çekimli, 15'i çekimsiz tedavi edilmiş 24'ü kız, lö'u erkek toplam 34 bireyin tedavi sonrası ve pekiştirme dönemlerinde alman sefalogramları üzerinde longitudinal olarak yürütülmüştür. Araştırmamızın sonucu Örtülü kapanış pekiştirmesinde alt keser konumunun önemini vurgulamaktadır.
