Abstract (2. Language):
Glass ionomer cements are being used extensively in dentistry since 1970's due to their adhesive characteristics to the dental hard tissues as well as their bio-compatibility and anticariogenic properties. In this study the finishing operations with 3 different methods to 3 kinds of glass ionomer cements were comprehensively investigated .4 Sof-lex discs were used in die first method whereas fine-git diamond bur and Vivadent polishing rubber in a round form was used in the second; and white stone was used in the tliird. The surface roughness values for the glass ionomer cements (Chelan Fil, Chemfil II, Ketac-Fil) were measured with profilometer. The smoothest surfaces were found in the control group samples which were prepared under selluloid bands. The best results were achieved for Sof lex discs when used in combination as far as die methods used for different glass ionomer cements are being concerned.
Abstract (Original Language):
1970'li yıllardan bu yana, cam iyonomer simanlan; gerek diş sert dokularıyla olan adesif bağlantıları, gerek antikaryojenik özellikleri ve gerekse biyokompatibili-teleri nedeniyle diş hekimliği kliniğinde geniş kullanım alam bulmuştur. Bu çalışmada, 3 çeşit cam iyonomer simanına 3 farklı yöntemle uygulanan bitirme işlemleri, karşılaştırmalı olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Örnekler hazırlanırken, 1. yöntemde kaba grenli, orta grenli, ince grenli ve süper ince grenli olmak üzere 4 değişik yapıda Sof-Iex disk, 2. yöntemde ince grenli elmas frez ve yuvarlak formda Vivadent cila lastiği, 3. yöntemde ise beyaz taş kullanılmıştır. Kullanılan cam iyonomer sunanlarının (Chelon-Fil, Chemfil II, Ketac-Fil) yüzey pürüzlülük değerleri pro-filometre ile ölçülmüştür. En düzgün yüzeyler, selüloid bant altında hazırlanan kontrol grubu örneklerinde saptanmıştır. İncelenen farklı cam iyonomer simanlarina uygulanan yöntemler arasında en iyi sonuçlar Sof-Lex disklerin kombine kullanıldığı örnek gruplarından elde edilmiştir.
