Abstract (2. Language):
Amalgam restorations have been widely used since the end of the last century, and is stil being used by todays dentists due to their easy manipulation, low coast, adequate mechanical properties and longevity. Today in order to raise the clinical performance of restorations more emphasis is given on researches on either material qualities or restorations tecniqucs. Moreover the goal of these research is focused on extending the life of a restoration and preserving its clinical performance during this period. Extending the clinical life of a restoration is important for preserving tooth structure as well as economically. The procedure of keeping the tooth structure loss during a restorative treatment is called " Minimal Invasive Treatment Concept". The researches about this concept is focused on the elements that ensure the success of this treatment.
