Abstract (2. Language):
The purpose of this article is to examine Ibn Khaldtm's philosophy of war and peace, depending mainly on his wcil-known book al-Muqaddimah. In doing so, after a short introduction, 1 will deal with the ontological context in which the subject-matter takes place and, then, in the light of his thought, I will describe and analyze his approach to the issues related to the theory of war and peace such as nature, origin, types, and value of war and peace. In the end, I will discuss whether universal and perpetual peace is possible according to his philosophy. In order to accomplish the aim, this article will be composed of the four chapters: "Ontology of War and Peace", "Nature and Reasons of War and Peace", "Origin and Different Types of War", and "Possibility of Peace".

Bu makalenin amacı, İbn Haldun'un savaş ve barış felsefesini onun el-Mukaddinıe adlı ünlü eserini temel alarak ortaya koymaktır. Bu yapılırken kısa bir girişin ardından önce îbn Haldun'un ontolojisinde konunun yer aldığı bağlam genel hatlarıyla incelenecek; daha sonra da onun savaş ve barışın doğası, kökeni, türleri, anlamı ve değeri gibi savaş ve barış teorisine ilişkin bir takım meselelere yaklaşımı tasvir vc analiz edilecektir. Son kısımda ise, İbn Haldun'un İnsan ve toplum felsefesi açısından barışın mümkün olup olmadığı tartışılacaktır. Bu çerçevede makale "Savaş ve Bans Ontolojisi", "Savaş ve Barışın Doğası ve Sebepleri", "Savaşın Kökeni ve Türleri" iie "Barışın İmkânı" olmak üzere dört başlık altında hazırlanmıştır.
