Abstract (2. Language):
The Conqueror had taken a good education. He gave emphasise to education, science and scholars. After the conquest of Istanbul, immediately he started to an educational and scientific mobilization. We can find the basis of today's Istanbul University in the educational and scientific institutions, which he had established in his time. He had brought scientists to these institutions, which he has established from all over the world. So in this way, Istanbul has been provided to become a centre of education, science, culture and arts.

Fatih Sultan Mehmet iyi bir eğitim görmüştür. Eğitim, bilim ve bilim adamlarına çok Önem vermiştir. İstanbul'u fethinin hemen arkasından büyük bir eğitim ve bilim seferberliği başlatmıştır. Bugünkü İstanbul Üniversitesi'nin temellerini, kurduğu eğitim, öğretim ve bilim kuruluşlarıyla atmıştır. Kurduğu bu eğitim kurumlarına dünyanın her yerinden bilim adamlarını getirtmiştir. İstanbul'u eğitim, bilim, kültür ve sanat merkezi yapmıştır.
