Doğu Pontidler'de bulunan. Liyas yaşlı antrasit yatağı., ön étudier sonucunda, grafit olabileceği sanılmıştır
Bu amaçla, bağlayan etüdler esnasında,., sahanın. Jeolojik ve tektonik etüdünün- yanı sıra kömür petrografisi
açısından, incelemeler yürütülmüştür, incelemeler sonucunda Liyas yaşlı yatağın kesin kömürleşme
derecesi refleks'yon ölçümleri yardımıyla saptanmıştır. Yüksek kömürleşme Laramlyen fazda yükselen,
granit etkisiyle olmuştur. Bu makalede yalnız kömür petrografisi sonucunda elde edilen neticeleı özetle
verilmiştir,
