Abstract (2. Language):
The aim of this research is to determine the efficiency of the science curriculum that has been
applied to the second level of primary schools in the 2001-2002 semester, using the assessments
of teachers. General characteristics, objectives, content, instruction and evaluation aspects of the
curriculum, were evaluated by survey method. The universe of this research is composed by science
teachers who are in charge in the second level of primary schools in İstanbul. The sampling is
made with 80 science teachers who choosen randomly. After percentage and frequency
calculations, results of the teacher assesments were transferred into tables and interpreted. At the
end of the research, it is found that there were some problems in the curriculum.Abstract (Original Language):
Bu araştırma, 2001-2002 öğretim yılında uygulamaya konulan İlköğretim Okulları ikinci
kademe Fen Bilgisi Dersi Öğretim Programının yeterliliğinin öğretmen görüşlerine dayalı olarak
değerlendirilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada program, genel özellikler, amaçlar, kapsam,
işleyiş ve değerlendirme boyutlarında tarama modeli kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir.
Araştırmanın evrenini, İstanbul ilindeki resmi ilköğretim okullarının ikinci kademesinde görevli
Fen Bilgisi öğretmenleri, örneklemini ise , bu okullardan eş olasılıkla seçilen 80 öğretmen
oluşturmuştur. Anket ile elde edilen veriler analiz edilirken, frekans ve yüzdeler hesaplanmıştır.
Araştırma sonucunda; programın tüm boyutlarında bazı aksaklıklar olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
