Abstract (2. Language):
The article deals with the wrong translation of some words in Koran into the Azerbaijani, Tur-kish and Russian languages. It is shown that sometimes the wrong translation of words causes se-rious misunderstanding. For example, the word “kafir” in Koran (those who don’t believe the One Allah) was translated into Russian as “неверный” (non – Muslim) and as “disbeliever” (non – Muslim) into English. On account of this translation the thoughts said about non – believers were also referred to the Jews and Christians. However, the Jews and Christians believe the One Allah. So, due to wrong translation the idea that Koran spreads hostility to the Jews and Christians was formed. The author suggests that the right translation of the word “kafir” into Russian and English should be «гяур» (the word «kafir” in Russian) and “giaour” (the word “kafir” in English) and the explanation “those who don’t believe the One Allah” should be written after these words(for the first time). This model can be used for all the other languages into which Koran is translated. Some other words from the Koran were also researched in this way.
