Abstract (2. Language):
Af içtim related studies fail within victimology which is of relatively recent V scientifıc branch. Victimology emerged as a branch of criminology and then became an independent scientifıc field, studying basicaly the victim of crime and almost everything connected with such a victim. A victim of crime is defıned as that person against whom a crime is committed. However, not ali criminal acts have victims. Such crimes are called victimless crimes. Becoming a victim is not the wish of any particular person. In fact, becoming a victim is not a matter of choice either. Most victims are not willing or volunteer to assurrie this role, but are generally forced into it through the offenders behaviour. After the occurrence of victimisation, support is needed in the light of psychological, social and economic impact which a crime has on the victim. At this stage a show of sympathy and assistance of the poliçe to the victim is of paramount importance. Thus this article aims to examine and analyse the victimisation of crime and the relationship betvveen the poliçe and the victim of crime.

Mağdurla ilgili çalışmalar, son zamanlarda ortaya çıkan bir bilim dalı olan mağduriyet biliminin alanı içerisine girmektedir. Esas itibariyle suç mağdurunu ve mağdurla bağlantılı hemen her şeyi çalışma konusu yapan mağduriyet bilimi, ilk önceleri kriminolojinin bir dalı olarak ortaya çıkmış, daha sonraları ise bağımsız bir bilim alanı haline gelmiştir. Suç mağduru, kendisine karşı suç işlenen kişi olarak tanımlanır. Bununla birlikte, her suçun mağduru yoktur. Bunlar mağdursuz suçlar olarak bilinir. Hiç kimse mağdur olmak istemez. Aslında hiç kimsenin, mağdur olup olmamak gibi bir seçeneği de yoktur. Mağdurların büyük bir çoğunluğu bu rolü üstlenmek için ne istekli ne de gönüllüdür, ancak suçluların davranışları sonucu zorunlu olarak bu durumun içine girerler. Mağduriyetin meydana gelmesinden sonra, suçun mağdur üzerinde oluşturduğu psikolojik, sosyal ve ekonomik etkiler ışığında desteğe ihtiyaç bulunmaktadır. Bu aşamada, olaya müdahale eden polisin mağdura karşı sempati ve yardım göstermesi çok büyük bir önem taşımaktadır. Bu yüzden, bu makale suç mağduriyetini ve mağdurla polis arasındaki ilişkileri incelemeyi ve analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır.
