Abstract (2. Language):
The present study introduced a technique where a new device has been developed to experiment kinetic energy projectiles in an improved laboratory based test set-up that enable to perform velocity measurements. The introduction of this article presents the most relevant measurement techniques from the state of art. Furthermore, the proposed objective measurements were performed in order to measure the projectile velocity of cartridges, 7.62x51, using the variety of pre-determined gunpowder ranging in different amounts. In addition, the results of the experiments have been analyzed and evaluated along with the previous findings of the trade mark chronograph namely known as "Ohler Research". As a result, it was found that the projectile velocity measurement set-up designed for this research is convenient for measuring the projectile velocities. Also, the advantages of method used in this study were discussed.

Bu çalıĢmada kinetik enerjili mermilerin hızlarının ölçümü için geliĢtirilen düzenek tanıtılmıĢtır. GiriĢ kısmında mermi hızlarının belirlenmesi ile ilgili yöntem ve prensiplerden bahsedilmiĢtir. Deneysel çalıĢma olarak; geliĢtirilen mermi hızı ölçüm sisteminin test edilmesi içini farklı miktarlarda barut içeren 7,62 mm x 51 mm fiĢeklerine ait mermilerin hızları belirlenmiĢ, sonuçlar “Oehler Research” marka kronograf kullanılarak elde edilen sonuçlarla karĢılaĢtırılmıĢtır. GeliĢtirilen sistemin mermi hızlarının belirlenmesinde kullanımının uygun olduğu görülmüĢ ve kullanılan yöntemin avantajları tartıĢılmıĢtır.
