Abstract (2. Language):
A morphometric analysis of changing proportions during mandibular deveiopment was undertaken in 30 human fetuses of both sexes (gestational age from 13 to 37 vveeks). Reference points located on the mandible were, condylar process (Pcl), coronoid process (Pco), gonion (Go), gnathion (Gn), supehor symphyseal point (SSP), mental foramen (Fme), mandibular foramen (FMa) for measuring linear dimensions. The gonial angel, Pcl1-Gn-Pc!2 angel and Pcl-lm-Pco angels were measured. Ali linear dimensions were correlated yvith the gestational age. The mandibular body grew faster than the ramus in the 3rd trimester. Ali linear measurements were noted to be larger in male fetuses than in female fetuses. Gonial angel and Pcl-lm-Pco angels were not changed, while and Pcl1-Gn-Pcl2 was increased (P<0.05) in the fetal period. İt observed that mandibular grovvth was allometric. The knovvledge of the fetal mandibular grovvth is useful Information for the anatomy, antropology, orthodontics and reconstructive surgery.
Abstract (Original Language):
Mandibula gelişimi süresince değişikliklerin morfometrik analizi, her iki cinsiyetten gestasyonel yaşları 13-37 hafta arasında değişen 30 adet İnsan fetusunda yapıldı. Lineer boyutların ölçümü için mandibula üzerinde lokalize olan referans noktaları; proc. condylaris (Pcl), proc. coronoideus (Pco), gonion (Go), gnathion (Gn), symphysis üst nok¬tası (SUN), for. mentaie (FMe), for. mandibulae (FMa) olarak belirlendi.
