Abstract (2. Language): 
Especially during the last decade, computers, internet and general purposes high technologies entered into firms' work practices and most part of our daily lives. In addition to these, a lot of developed countries, who invest in this kind of technologies increase their economic performances. This phenomenon which emanates from information and communication technologies and caused transformation in economic structure is defined as new economy. In this article, the concept of new economy, the characteristics of new conomy, industries and the characteristics of these industries are analysed.

Özellikle son on yılda bilgisayarlar, internet ve genel amaçlı ileri teknolojiler işletmelerin iş uygulamalarına ve günlük yaşamın büyük bölümüne girmiş bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca, bu tür teknolojilere yatırım yapan gelişmiş ülkelerin birçoğu, ekonomik performanslarını arttırmaktadırlar. Enformasyon ve iletişim teknolojilerinden kaynaklanan ve ekonomik yapıda dönüşüm yaratan bu olgu, yeni ekonomi olarak adlandırılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada yeni ekonomi kavramı, yeni ekonominin özellikleri, endüstrileri ve bu endüstrilerin özellikleri incelenmektedir.
