Enterprises have to make suitable location planning to decrease their product cost and to increase their productivity in our time. The aim of this study is to compare the basic layout types used in ar¬ranging inside facility layout with each other by using simulation. Especially in this study, material handling times between machines and ratio of these times in total times were interested. First of all a new production system is designed to the basic layout types used in arranging inside facility layout. And then in the designed production system, machines are arranged for each machine layout types. Machine layout types are transferred to PROMODEL simulation software. Then with the results of analysis, material handling times of different machine layout types and ratio of material handling times in total production time were compared and the results obtained from this analysis were given after commented on this study.

Gunumuzde i§letmeler uretim maliyetlerini azaltmak ve verimliliklerinin artirmak ign uygun tesis planlari yapmak zorundadirlar. £ali§ma, uretim sistemlerindeki tesis ig yerle§im problemlerinin gozu-mune ula§makta kullanilan temel tezgah yerle§im §ekilleri ve urune gore yerle§im igin onerilen yeni bir yakla§imi birbirleriyle kar§ila§tiran bir gali§madir. £ali§mada ozellikle tezgahlar arasindaki malzeme ta§ima sureleri ve bu surelerin toplam uretim suresi igerisindeki oranlari ile ilgilenilmi§tir. Buna ek olarak, incelenen turn tezgah yerle§im §ekillerine gore benzetim modelleri sonucunda elde edilen tezgahlarin kullanim yuzdeleri ve urunlerin uretim miktarlari da bu gali§ma kapsaminda aktarilmi§tir. £ali§mada ilk olarak tesis planlamasinda kullanilan temel yerle§im §ekilleri igin bir uretim sistemi ta-nimlanmi§tir. Daha sonra tanimlanan uretim sistemi, her bir yerle§im §ekli igin tezgah yerle§imi yapil-mi§tir. Ardindan urune gore yerle§im §ekli igin onerilen yakla§im aktarilarak uretim sistemi ign tezgah yerle§imi yapilmi§tir. Daha sonra tezgah yerle§im §ekilleri "PROMODEL" benzetim yazilimi ortamina aktarilmi§tir. Son olarak yapilan analizler ile farkli tezgah yerle§im §ekillerinin malzeme ta§ima sureleri ve toplam uretim suresi igerisindeki oranlari kar§ila§tmlmi§ ve analizlerden elde edilen sonuglar yorumlanarak aktarilmi§tir.
