Neurogenıc tumors occur at ali part of the body but most common site ıs the posterıor medıastınum in thorax İn thıs study. the patıents wıth neurogenıc tumor were evaluated clınıcal and radıologıcal signs in our hospıtal betvveen January 1999 and December 2003. Of thirry patıents vvere (11 male and 19 female) theır range aged from 20 to 70 mean4l.7± 11.8. Hısto/ogical types vvere 17 (%57) neurofıbromas. 7(23%) schwannomas. 4(13%) gangfıoneurıno-mas. 2(7%) malıgn schvvannomas Tvventy-four (80%) of neurogenıc tumors were m posterıor mediastınum and the others were in different areas ın thorax.

Vücudun her yerinde görülebilen norojenık tümörler toraks içinde sıklıkla arka medıastende lokalıze olurlar. Bu çalışma ile hastanemizde Ocak 1999 ile Aralık 2003 tarihleri arasında takip edilen norojenık tümörlü olguların klinik ve radyo¬lojik özelliklen belirlendi. Toplam 30 olgunun (I I erkek. 29 kadın) yaş sınırları 20 ve 70 olup yaş ortalaması 4L7± 11.8 yıl ıdı Bu olguların histolojik tıplen 17 olguda norofibroma (9657). 7 olguda schwannoma (%23), 4 olguda ganglıonon-noma(%I3) ve 2 olguda malıgn schvvannoma (%7) şeklinde sıralandı Tümörler 24 (%80) olguda paravertebral bölgede. 6 (%20) olguda toraksın diğer bölgelerinde lokalıze idi
