Abstract (2. Language):
Various materials arc used in restorative dentistry to make pin-and post-retained cores casting alloys, silver amalgam composite resin, glass ionomer cement and poly acid modified glass ionomer cement are frequently used for cores on fractured or devitalized teeth. Kndodontically treated Leeih have been problematic because of decreased moisture content, coronal destruction from dental caries, fractures, previous restoration and endodontic therapy. The restoration of the pulpiest Looth should increase the resistance of the tooth to fracture. The use of post-core-crown to restore the tooth has been reported to play a significant role in resistance of Lhe Inolh Lo fracture. This article presents a review of the literature about post-core materials.
