Abstract (2. Language):
In this in vitro study two new generation apex locators were compared regardnng their ability to locate the apical constriction accurately. Forty-five single-rooted anterior extracted human maxilaary incisor teeth were used. After access preparation, the actual length was measured. The teeth were embedded nn an alginate model. Electronic working length measurements were recorded with two apex locators (Root ZX, Apex Pointer) when 2.5% NaOCl was present in the root canal. Electronic measurements were compared with actual length. The proportion of measurements ranged between 1.72 and 0.03 mm for Root ZX at the meter readnng '0.5'. The proportion of measurements ranged between -0.8 and 1.52 mm for Apex Pointer at the meter reading '0.5'. Root ZX consistently displayed shorter measurement values than Apex Pointer, however there was no statistically significant difference between two new generation apex locators (p<0.001). It was found that both of two devices could be used nn clinically.
Abstract (Original Language):
Bu in vttro çalışmada iki yeni nesil apeks bulucu cihazın apikal daralmayı gösterebilme yeteneklerine göre karşılaştırılması yapıldı. Kırk beş adet tek kök/ü çekilmiş insan üst keser dişi kul/anıldı. Giriş kavtteleri açıldıktan sonra, dişler ajnnat model içine gömüldü. Kök kanaları içinde %2.5'ikk NaOCl varken elektronkk ölçümler iki apeks bulucu cihazla (Root ZX, Apex Pointer) yapıldı ve kaydedildi. Elektronkk ölçümler gerçek uzunlukaaria karşılaştırıldı. Root ZX'nn '0.5' ölçüm ayarında elde edilen sonuçları 1.72 ve 0.03 mm araiığında yer aldı. Aynı şartaarda Apex Pointer'ın ölçümleri ise -0.8 He 1.52 mm arahğındaydı.
